In short
Our guides, comparisons and tools are free general information about moving to Europe — not legal, tax or financial advice for your situation, and no outcome is guaranteed. Always check the current rules with the official source or a qualified professional before you act. The first consultation is free; any paid service is agreed with you in writing first, and nothing is sold or paid for on the website.
Section 1
Who We Are
The website usgoeu.com ("US GO EU", "we", "us") is operated by US GO EU Team Europe, Luruper Hauptstraße 107a – 2, 22547 Hamburg, Germany. You can reach us at info@usgoeu.com.
The website provides information, guides, comparisons and tools about moving from the United States (and other non-EU countries) to Europe — including visas and residence permits, citizenship, taxes, cost of living, healthcare, company formation and daily life.
Section 2
Not Legal, Tax or Financial Advice
Everything on this website is general information. It is not legal, immigration, tax or financial advice for your circumstances, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Using the website, contacting us or reading our guides does not create a lawyer–client, adviser–client or other professional relationship.
No guaranteed outcomes. Immigration offices, tax authorities, banks and other institutions make their own decisions. We cannot guarantee that a visa, permit, registration or tax treatment will be granted, or that rules will stay as described.
Section 3
Accuracy and Changes to the Information
We build our pages from official sources and show the source and the date we checked each key fact (see how we research and update). Even so, laws, fees, income thresholds, processing times and prices change, sometimes without notice, and a page may be out of date or contain an error. Figures marked as estimates — such as rents and living costs — are approximate.
Before you rely on any information, check it with the official source linked on the page or with a qualified professional. If you find something out of date, please tell us at info@usgoeu.com.
Section 4
Using the Website
The website is free to use. There are no user accounts, logins or subscriptions, and you cannot post comments, reviews or uploads. The tools and calculators give first estimates to help you build a shortlist; their results are not a decision or an offer.
Please do not misuse the website — for example by trying to break its security, overloading it or sending unlawful content through the contact form.
Section 5
Consultations and Paid Services
You can book a free first consultation of 30 minutes through our contact page. It is free and without obligation.
We also offer paid services, such as relocation strategy, help preparing documents and support through administrative and application processes. These are never sold through the website: there is no checkout, online payment, subscription or digital download. A paid service starts only after we have agreed with you in writing the scope of the work, the fee and the payment terms. Prices depend on the case and are confirmed before any work begins. Where a step needs a licensed professional (for example a lawyer, notary or tax adviser in a specific country), we work with one and tell you so; the written agreement for your case says who does what.
We may decline a request for services.
We never ask for payment through the website, an automated checkout or an unsolicited payment link. If you receive such a request in our name, do not pay — check with us first at info@usgoeu.com.
Section 6
Links to Other Websites
We link to other websites, mostly government and official sources, so you can check the information yourself. These links open in a new tab. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
Section 7
Copyright
The text, comparisons, research, tools, design and logo on this website belong to US GO EU or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright. You may read, print and share links to our pages for personal use. You may not copy, republish, translate or adapt our content, or extract it with automated tools (scraping), for any public or commercial purpose without our written permission.
Official data we cite remains subject to the terms of its original publisher. For permission requests, email info@usgoeu.com.
Section 8
Liability
The website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without any promise that they are complete, current, error-free or always available.
To the extent the law allows, US GO EU and its team are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the website or from decisions you make based on its content — including decisions about visas, residence, citizenship, taxes, investments or moving — or from changes in laws and rules. You remain responsible for your own decisions and for checking the information that applies to you.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country. Liability for paid services is set out in the written agreement for those services.
Section 9
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Germany. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
If you have a complaint, please write to us first at info@usgoeu.com so we can try to resolve it; we will answer within 30 days. If we cannot resolve it, either side may go to the competent courts.
Section 10
Other Terms
Privacy. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Severability. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in force.
Changes. We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed; the version published when you use the website applies.
