Consistently ranked among the world's happiest countries. World-class cycling infrastructure, excellent healthcare, outstanding food scene, and a progressive, tolerant society. Work-life balance is genuinely valued.
EU & Schengen Hub
Netherlands is a founding EU and Schengen member. Amsterdam Schiphol is one of Europe's best-connected airports. Dutch residency grants freedom of movement across 29 Schengen countries.
Amsterdam

How It Works

From Decision to Your Netherlands Residence Permit

We guide you through every step — from first consultation to settled life in Netherlands.

1
Book a free consultation
We assess your situation — DAFT self-employment, Highly Skilled Migrant, startup founder, or student — and identify your optimal Dutch permit pathway.
2
DAFT: Register your business; HSM: Secure recognized sponsor
For DAFT: deposit €4,500 in a Dutch business account and register with KVK. For Kennismigrant: confirm your employer is an IND-recognized sponsor (check the public list).
3
Apply to IND (Immigration and Naturalisation Service)
Submit your permit application. DAFT can be applied from within the Netherlands as a tourist. Kennismigrant: employer applies on your behalf — typically 2–4 weeks processing.
4
Register with Gemeente (Municipality)
Within 5 days of arriving at your address, register at your local Gemeente. This is mandatory and generates your BSN (Burgerservicenummer) — the key to all Dutch services.
5
Arrange health insurance and set up essentials
Take out mandatory Dutch health insurance within 4 months of your BSN. Open a Dutch bank account, apply for the 30% ruling (if eligible), and buy a bicycle.
