The Italy Investor Visa Application Process

Step 4 — Enter Italy, Register & Transfer the Investment
Enter Italy on your Investor Visa within its validity period. Register your presence with the local authorities (Questura) within 8 days of arrival. Critically, the qualifying investment must be completed within 3 months of entering Italy — transfer the capital, subscribe to the fund, execute the donation, or complete the bond purchase, and obtain documentary proof. Apply to convert your visa into a residence permit (Permesso di Soggiorno per Investitori) at the Questura, submitting proof of completed investment. Your residence permit is issued for 2 years.
